Lone Star Kayaks is a family-owned and operated shop.  We are constantly working hard to get you quality products for affordable prices.  Whether it's negotiating rates with shippers, or finding that next great product, our focus is always on the customer.  Our goal is simple.  We want you to enjoy paddling.  We will work with you to identify the specific kayaks, accessories, and extras you will need.  If you are new to kayaks, or a seasoned veteran, we cannot wait to talk to you.   You may be interested in kayak fishing.  Great!  So are we.  We use every product we have in the shop and give you the details.  Maybe you want to just relax and enjoy the day on the water.  We've been there.  Or how about busting some surf and hitting some Class II rapids.  There's no doubt that paddling is diverse.  We want to help you out.  

Our story begins with our passion for the water.  This grew into a small garage business that consisted of rigging kayaks, outfitting small groups, and dealing with customers on a very personal basis.  Our garage became grand central station.  This made us happy but not the congested neighborhood streets!  With the support of our neighbors, friends, and family, we moved our business to a small shop on the grounds of Austin's World War I airfield, Penn Field.  This area is  experiencing  a rebirth and we are excited about its future.  We continue to remain true to what brought us into this profession.  We love the outdoors and are passionate about getting you the right kayak at the right price. We paddle as often as we can.  We fish all types of water.  And we test and use every product we carry.  Have a great time paddling and welcome to the paddling community!
